Sisters On the Road

When you work together on a non-profit while living on two different continents, you cover a lot of ground during the times you are in the same place.

So far Jody and I have spent Christmas with family in Montana, connected with Silas and Rahab of Kenya in Indianapolis, and are on our way to Springfield, Illinois this week end!

Montana was a real treat for us!  You should have seen these two sisters as aunties, visiting the new member of the family, Lilly Joy.  At four months, she squeals with delight when you sing God's praises to her.

Other than baby-sitting, skiing and snow-shoeing, Jody and I enjoyed our time with Lilly's parents, Tim and Andrea.  We bonded as a family, painting the basement, watching movies in the home theater, and playing board games.  We never tired of each other and were grateful the few precious moments spent together.  God indeed loves families!
After Montana, we headed back to Ohio where mom, dad, Jody, and Jeremy live.  A mutual friend invited us to meet Silas and Rahab from Kenya.  We drove round trip 300 miles to Indianapolis to visit them and hear all about their pastor's training center just outside of Nairobi.

They have also recently relocated to Nairobi and they proved to be a great connection for us!

Next, we are off to visit Amelia Chestshire.  She's just back from Kenya after spending six months at her and her friend Shana's orphanage.  We plan to spend all week end drilling her with questions about operating a non-profit in Kenya as she and Shana have done this for over two years now!

Before I return to Kenya, we have a lot of prayer partners to see.

We continue to marvel at how well God connects us to help us build on what we started last year with Streams of Mercy Africa.

Thanks for all your continued prayers and support!
We couldn't do this without you!

Blessings,
Christy
